Rafik is passionate about computers and biology. Currently finishing a master in Genetics and Molecular Biology in Tunis, his goal is to have a career as a researcher in bioinformatics. He writes software for scientific research.

Addicted to free software, he is an active advocate and member of the international FOSS community. An Ubuntu member since 2008, he also founded the Mozilla community in Tunisia in 2010. He contributes to various Free software projects.

Rafik is a writer and has experience in science and technology journalism. He writes for Tunisian and international newspapers and magazines.

Other than contributing to big projects like Gnome, Wordpress and Mozilla, I currently work on my own projects:

Octopux : A piece of software that controls and automates various other software. What it does: helps in revealing which proteins are involved with DNA repair mechanism of radio-resistant bacteria.

Blogs.tn : Under construction. It's a services platform dedicated to bloggers.
